Tips for Asking Questions

    1. Others may have the same question as you so ask your question in the way that will help others in the future find it.
    2. Phrase the discussion title as the complete question and add details in the actual discussion post. This will greatly help those searching for answers to the same question in the future. In addition, more people are likely to help answer the question if they see what it is before clicking through to the discussion page.
    3. Include specific details about the problem you are experiencing such as copying/pasting error messages/codes, screenshots, etc... If it's a short error code, you should include it in the title as well.
    4. If you find an answer to your own question, actually answer it. If someone searches for the same question in the future, nothing is more frustrating than seeing "Nevermind, I got it!"

In the following examples, the discussion title is in bold.

    Example of a "Good" Question:

Error Code A45DF31 when opening Microsoft Word 2010
I just installed Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student last week. It's been working well for the past few days, however, when I tried to open Microsoft Word today, I was given an error message that said "Microsoft Word has failed to start. Error Code: A45DF31". Other Office programs like Powerpoint seem to be working fine though.

What does this error code mean and how can I fix Word? Thanks.

    Example of a "Bad" Question:

    HELPP!!!!!!!!
My word refuses to open!!! Please help meeeee!!!!
