I was wondering what the best note taking app for the iPad is. There are a lot to choose from and since none of them are free, I can't really download them all without wasting money.

    Hi Skyy,

The note taking app I chose for my iPad is called Note Taker HD ($4.99): http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/note-taker-hd/id366572045?mt=8

The developer of this app is clearly dedicated to creating a great app with frequent updates. I am very satisfied with my purchase and I think it's worth every penny.

However, because I haven't actually tried other apps, I can't actually say that this is the "best" app, but I will do strongly recommend Note Taker HD.

Other apps with high ratings (haven't personally tested yet):
    Notability: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/notability-handwriting-note/id360593530?mt=8
    Penultimate: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/penultimate/id354098826?mt=8

    Hope this helps.
  • Brian, is Notability the one in which you can write with a stylus, and then the notes will appear in your own handwriting? (Does that also apply for any of the others you have listed?)

Yup, they all are handwriting apps.

I don't know about Penultimate, but Notability and Note Taker HD both have the zoom in writing box where you can write in large text and it will shrink it.

I just bought Notability during their 80% off sale for 99 cents (though it said 1 week but the sales been on for a month...) and I'm currently trying to decide which one I prefer (Note Taker HD or Notability).

Howdy, Stranger!
